RITZVILLE — A solar project approved by the Ritzville and Lind school boards last year is beginning to produce measurable savings, with Ritzville School District reporting about $10,000 in reduced power costs over three Avista billing cycles.
Superintendent Gary Wargo told the boards during a June 24 joint meeting that Ritzville was tracking toward roughly $30,000 in annual savings from the project, according to approved meeting minutes.
