Zelestra, a global renewable energy company, has brought its 27.5 MW DC Klevenow solar plant in Germany into full commercial operation. The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern plant is Zelestra’s first operational project in Germany and was awarded through the country’s EEG tenders. The plant includes approximately 42,300 solar panels, and installation was completed in under six months. Klevenow is expected to generate 28,700 MWh annually, with the electricity supporting C&I demand in the nearby Pomeranian Triangle. Zelestra said the plant will also help avoid around 9,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. The company expects two more solar projects and its first German BESS project to enter construction in H2 2026. Together, these projects are expected to take Zelestra’s operational and construction-stage capacity in Germany above 200 MW, while its German pipeline now exceeds 2 GW.
