GameChange Energy, a US-based energy infrastructure company, has completed tracker commissioning at Bright Fern Energy’s 23 MW Dannevirke Solar Farm in New Zealand. The project uses the Genius Tracker 1P 4 String system, which was adapted to suit the site’s terrain and construction requirements. GameChange Energy used TopoSmart for the undulated terrain, while pre-assembled components helped simplify installation work at the site. The tracker design also took into account seismic conditions, high wind exposure, terrain variability and other construction challenges. The commissioning is GameChange Energy’s first completed project in New Zealand and also marks its entry into the wider Oceania market. Dannevirke is the first project delivered from Bright Fern Energy’s development pipeline in the country. Bright Fern Energy has more than 550 MW of projects under development across New Zealand’s North and South Islands.
