A proposed £1bn solar farm in Norfolk could generate enough electricity to power around 115,000 homes.
The East Pye project near Long Stratton would cover around 2,700 acres (1,090 hectares) of countryside.
Currently the scheme is facing opposition from residents and campaign groups who are concerned about the loss of agricultural land and its impact on the surrounding landscape.
The project’s estimated cost includes land acquisition, construction and installation. If approved, the final decision will be made by Energy Secretary Miatta Fahnbulleh due to the size of the development.
The developer says the project would help cut carbon emissions and support the UK’s net zero targets.
