Chiripal Group venture GREW Solar, a solar manufacturer, has secured a repeat order worth Rs. 430 crore from a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) to supply its G12R solar modules.
In a press release, GREW Solar said its G12R modules are powered by N-type TOPCon cell technology. These modules are engineered for utility-scale applications and are designed to meet the demanding requirements of large solar projects, where efficiency, reliability, and long-term energy yield are critical to project economics.
Launched in 2025, GREW Solar’s G12R High-Power Series delivers up to 635 Wp. It is engineered for utility-scale efficiency, claiming to cut the total module count by 6–8% per MW. The company has earlier spoken about reducing BOS costs and improving logistics and installation timelines with its latest product. It offers around 6–7% higher container power density and 1.5–3% more power per m² compared to standard TOPCon modules.
Under the latest order, GREW Solar will deploy solar modules across the customer’s upcoming utility-scale solar projects at multiple locations across India. The order further strengthens the longstanding relationship between the firm and the customer. The solar market for non-DCR modules remains a highly competitive one for now, with margins at their lowest due to overcapacity. Like many other firms, GREW will be focused on adding orders till the time its own cell making comes online, which will help service a more proditable segment of the market in 2027, when ALCM conditions come into force without exemptions.     
GREW Solar has an existing 6.5 GW solar module facility in Dudu (Jaipur) and is expanding its capacity to 11.0 GW, alongside an 8.0 GW solar cell facility in Narmadapuram (Madhya Pradesh). Backed by a ₹300 crore fundraise, the company is accelerating its capacity expansion, R&D, and innovation roadmap, targeting completion by 2026.
The company is also expanding its presence across domestic and international markets to serve the growing demand for high-efficiency solar PV solutions.
