LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a China-based PV module manufacturer, has officially passed the Level-4 certification of the China Manufacturing Maturity Model (CMMM) for its Wuhu Production Base. This achievement makes its Production Base the first in the PV module sector to receive this specific distinction. The CMMM system evaluates enterprises across 15 key areas, including supply chain procurement and intelligent production scheduling. At the Wuhu base, LONGi has deployed seven major AI engines covering employee skill management, production scheduling, quality inspection, equipment maintenance, process optimization, energy management, and warehousing and logistics. These implementations are said to have yielded improvements like, full-chain AI quality inspection increased defect detection efficiency by 80% and reduced overall quality issues by 40%. Upgrades in screen printing, welding, layout, and repair workstations boosted production efficiency by 21%, as per the release. The intelligent dispatch system improved dispatch efficiency by 60%, while an “air-water coordinated” AI control system cut overall energy consumption by 7%.
