Developers of a 97-acre solar farm planned between Union and Washington are seeking tax breaks from Franklin County.
James Holzman, partner with Clean Energy Design Group, proposed the agreement to county commissioners Sept. 3, saying the company would lease the site from landowners Kurt Unnerstall and Greg Hoberock with Franklin County Land and Cattle Company LLC. The 20-megawatt solar farm, which could power several thousand homes, will be located northwest of the intersection of Highway 47 and Clearview Road.
