Rana Holdings Ltd has expressed interest in establishing a 2 GW solar energy portfolio and a 200 MW green hydrogen plant in Madhya Pradesh.
The proposals were discussed during a meeting between Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav and Darshan Singh Rana, chairman and managing director of Rana Holdings.
The company also proposed a 50 MW AI and computing data center, with plans to expand the facility to 200 MW, as well as a 30,000-MTPA critical minerals recovery and recycling complex and an integrated smart manufacturing hub in the state.
According to the Madhya Pradesh government, the proposed projects could attract investment of around INR 35,200 crore ($4 billion). The government said the projects could contribute to the state’s energy transition and support the development of advanced manufacturing and digital infrastructure.
Rana Holdings is a UAE- and India-headquartered multi-sector conglomerate, with a combined portfolio commitment of more than $25 billion across advanced manufacturing, aerospace, clean energy, technology and wellness.
Separately, Yadav discussed an industrial-scale AI computing campus and a Sovereign AI Factory with investors from NIDI Services DMCC/SCNELL. The company presented a concept involving an investment of around $1.5–2 billion (around INR 18,000 crore) in a 50-MW AI factory, which could be expanded to more than 100 MW in the future.
