Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has recently issued a tender to lease two parcels of agricultural land approximately 10 acres each.i.e., a total of a 20 Acre land. The tenders aims to setup Agri-Photovoltaic (Agri-PV) power plants in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. It has invited bids until October 7, 2026.
SECI through this tender aims to identify and lease, on a long-term basis for 27 years, two suitable parcels of agricultural land located in the rural areas of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. These land parcels will be utilized for the development of Agri-PV power plants, along with associated power evacuation and ancillary infrastructure.
This also aligns with Delhi’s “Agriculture-cum-Solar Farm Scheme,” that aims to leverage the city’s canals and drains for harnessing solar and hydropower. As part of this broader vision, the GNCTD’s Renewable Energy Plan aims to identify potential areas and projects for renewable energy generation across Delhi, which has significant potential for solar energy generation. Accordingly, the plan outlines strategies to scale up solar energy production across the city.
SECI’s latest agrid tender also offer flexiblity which can be further extended by mutual consent. The land parcels are specifically required to be located within the revenue boundaries of the villages of Issapur and Dhansa, Tehsil-Najafgarh, District-Southwest Delhi.
The project would be funded by the Employer/Owner, as defined in the Special Conditions of Contract (SCC), through domestic funding and its own resources. The bid has a validity period of 180 days and is free of cost.

These land parcels will be utilized for developing Agri-PV plants, along with associated power evacuation and ancillary infrastructure. The land parcels shall preferably be located within an approximate radius of 1 km from the reference GPS coordinates and within the revenue boundaries of the corresponding villages.
The land parcel in Issapur, Tehsil-Najafgarh, District-Southwest Delhi, is approximately 1.0 km from the reference coordinates.
