Haslbach solar park will supply around 20 % of the site’s electricity demand from locally generated renewable power
Germany, Regensburg: Reinhausen GmbH is preparing to source part of its electricity directly from a new solar park being built next to its Haslbach site.
The project, developed together with REWAG and Voltgrün Energie GmbH, is scheduled to enter operation by the end of 2026. Construction began in August, with around 6,250 solar modules due to be delivered and installed in September.
The ground-mounted photovoltaic system is being built on a south-facing slope covering around three hectares. Once operational, it is expected to generate approximately 4,400 MWh of electricity per year.
REWAG will supply the solar-generated power directly to Reinhausen through a dedicated line connecting the solar park with the plant. The company expects the installation to cover around 20 % of the electricity demand at the Haslbach site.
Reinhausen will primarily use the electricity within its own grids, while surplus energy not required at the site will be fed into REWAG’s network.
The companies estimate that the project will reduce annual CO₂ emissions by around 1,800 to 2,000 t.
Voltgrün Energie is responsible for engineering and building the solar installation.
