ISRO's URSC invites bids for flight solar panel fabrication and testing – Solarbytes

U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), the Bengaluru-based ISRO centre that builds spacecraft, has issued a tender for a work package covering the fabrication and testing of flight PV panels. The tender was published on September 11, 2026 on ISRO’s e-procurement portal. The contract runs for two years from the purchase order. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled on September 18, 2026 at the INSAT building in Bengaluru. Bids must be submitted by October 5, 2026, and price bids open on October 6. Quotes must be in INR with GST shown separately. Vendors registered on the ISRO/URSC portal, MSEs and central PSUs are exempt from the EMD. The successful bidder must furnish a performance security of 3% of the order value, put at INR 5,50,000 (approximately $5,700), within 20 days of the order. URSC then pays for each completed work unit within 30 days, once its focal person certifies the work.
