Those seeking to land a special use permit for a commercial solar farm on the outskirts of Troy will have to wait at least another month. Madison County Board members voted by a slim margin, Wednesday night, to postpone a vote until their October meeting.
That action came after an amended resolution was presented to them, just hours before their September meeting.
The “Residents of Spring Valley Road Coalition” had asked the county board to deny the permit, based on size, location, and elevation.
Representatives from developer Summit Ridge Energy told the board Wednesday that they feel like they have satisfied concerns about the project, by agreeing to some revised conditions.
There were no public comments made Wednesday by opponents.
