Suntech highlights PV and energy Storage at Solar & Storage Live UK – pv-tech.org

Suntech has showcased its latest N-type PV and energy storage solutions at the 2026 edition of Solar & Storage Live UK in Birmingham, highlighting advances in quarter-cut cell technology, high-efficiency modules and integrated solar-storage applications.
The UK solar market continues to expand, driven by strong growth in rooftop installations and the growing integration of solar and battery storage. With solar becoming increasingly important across residential, commercial and utility-scale applications, the market is placing greater emphasis on technologies that can make effective use of available space while delivering reliable energy generation.
As solar-storage integration gains momentum, demand for high-efficiency and reliable PV technologies continues to grow across utility-scale projects, industrial and commercial rooftops and residential applications, making module efficiency, energy yield and long-term performance increasingly important considerations for projects in the UK.
Against this backdrop, the exhibition featured Suntech’s products across key stages of PV manufacturing, from silicon wafers and solar cells to modules. It also highlighted the continued refinement of N-type quarter-cut cell technology, with a focus on optimizing cell architecture and current distribution to reduce energy losses and improve power generation.
By carrying these cell-level advances into module design, the company is further developing high-efficiency module solutions for a range of applications. This approach is particularly relevant to projects where making the most of available installation space and maximizing energy yield are important considerations, including residential and commercial rooftops.
This technology is further demonstrated in its Ultra T 3.0 quarter-cut modules, a key highlight of the exhibition. Built on Suntech’s proprietary TOPCon 3.0 cell technology, Ultra T 3.0 combines an optimized quarter-cut cell architecture with advanced high-density encapsulation.
The module achieves a cell conversion efficiency of up to 27.5% and a module efficiency of more than 25.2%, enabling higher power output while supporting long-term reliability, its high-efficiency design helping make effective use of available rooftop and project space.
Also featured at the exhibition was the Ultra T 2.0, a 520W half-cell N-type TOPCon module, further extending Suntech’s module offering for commercial and residential applications.
In addition to its PV portfolio, the company also showcased its self-developed SunStorage energy storage systems for commercial and residential applications. Featuring a modular design, high-voltage architecture and flexible expansion capability, the systems can be combined with Suntech PV modules to provide integrated solutions for households and small businesses, enabling daytime solar generation, energy storage, night time power supply and backup electricity during outages.
SunStorage offers both AC-coupled and DC-coupled solutions, providing flexibility for different system configurations and application needs. The combination of PV modules and energy storage enables a more coordinated approach to solar generation, storage and power consumption, supporting the growing demand for integrated solar-storage solutions across the UK market.
