Enel acquires 270MW US solar portfolio – reNEWS

Enel has completed the acquisition of seven operational photovoltaic plants in the United States with total installed capacity of approximately 270MW.
Enel said the portfolio was acquired from a US utility for approximately 140 million US dollars, equivalent to the enterprise value.
The company added that the transaction is expected to contribute approximately 20 million US dollars per year to the Enel Group’s consolidated ordinary EBITDA.
The plants have an average output of around 0.4TWh per year.
The acquisition was completed through Enel’s wholly owned subsidiary Enel Green Power North America, with an impact on Group net financial debt of around 180 million US dollars.
The transaction follows an agreement signed in May and is in line with Enel Group’s strategy to accelerate growth of renewable generation capacity, including through the acquisition of operational assets in Tier 1 countries.
