FSE and Loaf Sign MoU to Tokenize Over $500 Million Australian Solar Project – KuCoin

Huo Xing Finance reports that energy developer Fusion Source Energy (FSE) and its partners have signed a memorandum of understanding with the on-chain real asset platform Loaf to facilitate the on-chain issuance of over $500 million in Australian solar photovoltaic and battery projects, covering more than 1,000 hectares of land and led by the more than 200 MW Project Amber. According to the memorandum, the raised funds are expected to accelerate project development and expand Amber’s battery capacity. Amber is a utility-scale solar park that co-locates over 200 MW of solar PV with multi-hour battery storage, projected to generate enough electricity annually to power more than 70,000 households—or equivalent to the energy demand of a 50 MW data center. The project pipeline also includes battery storage assets under 5 MW and distributed energy resources; these modular assets are situated closer to end-use points and can generate diversified energy revenues across multiple sites in Australia. Weiwei Shi, CEO of FSE, stated that Amber is among the largest hybrid co-located projects in the Southern Hemisphere, traditionally accessible only to a limited number of institutional investors; Loaf can broaden investor access without adding friction and provide continuous, transparent pricing for the assets. Loaf stated that Project Amber will become a cornerstone asset within its ecosystem. As the project matures and begins trading, users will be able to take long or short positions and utilize these assets within the on-chain financial ecosystem. Loaf will participate in the on-chain trading and issuance of real assets, enabling users to gain economic exposure and returns from these infrastructure assets.
