Dos Grados, a Spanish renewable energy investment and development company, has reached an agreement with Akuo to acquire three solar photovoltaic projects totaling more than 500 MW in Spain. The projects are under development in Castilla y León and Andalusia, expanding Dos Grados’ solar development portfolio. Akuo, a renewable energy developer active in solar, wind and energy storage, will transfer the three-project portfolio under the agreement. The projects offer opportunities to integrate agrivoltaic systems, allowing solar electricity generation and agricultural activities to share land. Dos Grados also plans to explore technologies for energy management and integration with industrial electricity demand. The companies have not disclosed the transaction value, individual project capacities or expected commissioning dates.
