China Solar PV News Snippets: HiTHIUM's Cumulative Energy Storage Shipments Cross 200 GWh & More – TaiyangNews

Energy storage manufacturer HiTHIUM has announced that its cumulative energy storage product shipments have surpassed 200 GWh. Having begun shipments in late 2021, the company reached the 100 GWh milestone in August 2025 and added another 100 GWh in just over a year. HiTHIUM said it ranked among the world’s top 2 suppliers by energy storage battery shipments in 2025 and the first half of 2026.
Looking ahead, the company said it would remain focused on energy storage, with long-duration energy storage (LDES) as a strategic priority. Recall that HiTHIUM started mass production at its integrated LDES industrial park in Heze, Shandong Province, in August (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
It aims to promote large-scale global deployment of its first integrated long-duration energy storage solution, featuring 1,000 Ah-class cells, and to develop integrated solutions that cover the value chain from battery cells to the grid.
In its earnings forecast, Chinese inverter and energy storage equipment manufacturer Deye expects a net profit of RMB 4.22 billion to RMB 4.32 billion in the first nine months of 2026, up 79.81% to 84.07% year-over-year (YoY). Net profit excluding non-recurring items is projected to be RMB 3.95 billion to RMB 4.06 billion, up 73.33% to 78.16% YoY.
The company attributed the expected earnings growth primarily to rising overseas demand for energy storage. Supported by energy security policies and tighter electricity supply-demand conditions in several countries, sales revenue from its residential and commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage products increased significantly YoY. Deye also cited its global sales network and supply-chain cost management as contributing factors.
Deye released its earnings results for H1 2026, reporting that its revenue rose over 92% during the period (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
Power equipment manufacturers CEEG and SINEXCEL have jointly developed a 13,800 kVA transformer for energy storage applications. The oil-immersed, self-cooled, dual-split transformer is designed for a 40-foot high-cube containerized AC/DC integrated energy storage system (ESS), enabling a rated continuous output of 13.8 MW per container.
According to CEEG, the transformer achieves 99.66% efficiency, exceeding the EU Tier 2 benchmark of 99.645%. Its design reduces overall weight by ~10% and is intended to be maintenance-free. The product series now covers single-unit power ratings from 6 MW to 13.8 MW, with grid-side voltage options of 13.8 kV, 22 kV, and 33 kV. The products target GW-scale energy storage and renewable energy projects with integrated storage.
Guangdong’s provincial development and reform commission and energy administration have issued pricing rules for local renewable energy consumption projects, including direct green power supply, integrated source-grid-load-storage projects, and zero-carbon industrial parks.
Under the policy, annual self-consumed renewable generation must account for at least 60% of total available generation and at least 30% of total electricity consumption. The minimum share of electricity consumption supplied by self-consumed renewable generation will rise to 35% for new projects from 2030.
Projects connected to the public grid must pay capacity- or demand-based transmission and distribution charges. Electricity imported from the grid will no longer incur separate system reserve charges or energy-based transmission and distribution fees. Other applicable charges, including system operation fees, government funds, and surcharges, will continue to apply under the relevant rules.
China’s renewable energy price settlement mechanism will not cover electricity exported by these projects. Renewable energy projects already covered by the mechanism price that switch to local consumption arrangements will be deemed to have voluntarily withdrawn from the mechanism.
Guangdong recently launched a mechanism price auction for 2026 renewable energy projects, with a volume of 7.934 billion kWh for distributed PV (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
