GCL SI Showcases Application Scenario-Based PV Modules – TaiyangNews

GCL SI displayed its SiRo series NR10R/54BGDF full-black module with a rated power output of 500 W and an efficiency of 24.5% at the show, targeting residential applications
The company showcased its SiRo series NR12R/66GDF module for C&I use cases
For utility, it offered a 650 W and 24.08% efficiency TOPCon module
Vertically integrated PV manufacturer GCL System Integration Technology (GCL SI) promoted its SiRo series PV modules at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026 for the country’s rooftop, commercial & industrial (C&I), and utility market.
The company says this module lineup is built for specific applications.
It showcased its NR10R/54BGDF Full-Black module for rooftop applications. Measuring 1,800 × 1,134 × 30 mm, it comprises 108 half-cut back contact (BC) cells without a cell-to-cell gap and a conventional creepage distance (around 10.4 mm) between the black frames and the cell edges. This design gives the product a ‘Full-Black’ look rather than a traditional module with intermittent white or transparent color mismatches between cell-to-cell and cell-to-frame edge gaps. Beyond aesthetics, this design maximizes active cell area within a 2 m² module, delivering up to 500 W of power and a maximum efficiency of 24.5%. It features 2 mm front and rear glass in a monofacial design and weighs 24.6 kg.
For C&I applications, the company displayed its NR12R/66GDF BC module to maximize installed capacity and energy generation within a defined installation area. It features 132 half-cut cells in a module area of 2,382 × 1,134 × 30 mm – both higher than the residential model. This results in a nominal power output of 670 W and a rated maximum efficiency of 24.8%. This module exhibits a bifacial design with 2 mm front and rear glass, with a rated maximum bifaciality of 80%. It is up to 7.9 kg heavier than its rooftop counterpart.
Unlike its residential and C&I modules, which use BC cells, GCL employs TOPCon cells in its utility-scale NT12R/66GDF module. This module, featuring 132 half-cut cells, is rated at a maximum power output of 650 W and an efficiency of 24.06%. It features 2 mm front and rear glass, measures 2,382 × 1,134 × 30 mm, and weighs 32.5 kg. The module weighs the same as the C&I module mentioned above, but has a slightly higher maximum bifaciality of 85%.
These modules offer performance warranties of up to 30 years, while the product warranty periods vary. The rooftop module offers the longest product warranty at 30 years, compared with 15 years for the C&I module and 12 years for the utility module.
