On October 20, the 2026 Chery Global Innovation Conference was officially held at the Chery Global Innovation Center in Wuhu. Centered on the theme "Change — Rebuilding a Better World with AI, Bringing Life Back to Life," the conference unveiled a technology cluster comprising 11 core technologies, including Robotaxi, V2G + Xunlong instant charging + wireless charging, eVTOL, chips, CheryMind, the Chery All-Dimensional World Engine (CHERY AWE), solid-state batteries, the Lingxi 8D intelligent cockpit, solar vehicles + atmospheric water harvesting, native 48V low-voltage electrical systems, and intelligent driving units.
Chery unveiled its solar vehicle + atmospheric water harvesting technology. The solar vehicle adopts an industry-leading flexible PV car cover technology, weighing only 1.5 kg/m², with a thickness of 1 mm and the ability to be rolled up to a diameter of 63 mm. It can be flexibly integrated onto the roof and hood, with an attachment area of ≥4 m², a vehicle power output of ≥640 W, and a maximum daily power generation of 6 kWh. Paired with an integrated PV controller, the generated electricity is directly fed into the power battery, with transmission losses kept within 10%, achieving an efficient closed energy loop.
