Qair starts construction of 46MW UK solar farm – reNEWS

Qair has started construction of the 46MW Brecks Solar Farm in Nottinghamshire, marking its first renewable energy project in the UK to enter the construction phase.
The company said the project is expected to generate approximately 46.08GWh of renewable electricity annually once operational, enough to power the equivalent of 8,927 homes.
Qair added that the development is anticipated to avoid approximately 14,866 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year.
Brecks Solar Farm secured a government-backed Contract for Difference (CfD) in February 2026 and is scheduled to become operational in Q2 2027.
The project will also deliver environmental enhancements, including biodiversity improvements and landscaping measures designed to integrate the development into the surrounding environment and support local wildlife.
Construction marks a milestone in Qair’s continued UK expansion as it progresses renewable energy projects from development through to construction and operation.
Qair has more than 1.7GW of capacity in operation globally, with 800 employees developing a 28GW project pipeline across 20 countries in Europe, Latin America and Africa.
The company is active in solar, onshore and offshore wind, hydroelectric, tidal energy, energy from waste, renewable hydrogen production and energy storage.
