The Solar Power and Battery 101 workshop will cover the process of installing solar panels and explain how residents may save an average of 20% to 30% on upfront costs.
PWP staff will discuss rebates and installation steps, including choosing vendors, understanding the benefits of solar and battery storage, and meeting permit and electrical code requirements.
“Choosing to install solar power and battery storage at home is a meaningful investment that pays off for both our customers and our city,” said David Reyes, PWP general manager. “It delivers clean energy, supports Pasadena’s path toward 100% carbon-free electricity by the end of 2030, and gives homeowners greater control over their energy use and costs.”
