Saatvik Green Energy today unveiled its quad-cut TOPCon 3.0 dual glass bifacial solar PV module at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2026 in Greater Noida.
The n-type TOPCon solar module delivers a rated power output of up to 670 Wp and a maximum module efficiency of 24.8%, with output reaching up to 745 W under standard bifacial rating conditions, according to the company. The module is designed to address the evolving needs of India’s utility-scale and commercial solar markets.
“As India’s solar sector scales up, the focus is shifting towards higher-efficiency modules that can improve project economics while delivering reliable, long-term performance,” said Prashant Mathur, Chief Executive Officer, Saatvik Green Energy Ltd. “Our quad-cut TOPCon 3.0 dual glass bifacial module reflects Saatvik’s commitment to advancing solar technology through products that combine higher power output, optimised system costs and long-term performance assurance.”
The module features a quad-cut (quarter-cut) cell design comprising 264 cells in a 6×44 configuration. According to the company, this design reduces current loss per cell, helping lower resistive losses, minimise hot-spot risk and extend module life. With an output of up to 670 Wp, the module enables developers to deploy more capacity with fewer modules, helping reduce balance-of-system costs associated with mounting structures, cabling, land use and installation effort per megawatt.
The module has a Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C. The company said this enables the module to retain more of its rated output at higher temperatures, offering a material advantage under Indian field conditions.
The module is backed by a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty, with first-year degradation of only 1% and annual degradation of 0.35% thereafter. At the end of 30 years, the module is warranted to deliver at least 88.85% of its rated power. The warranty is supported by Munich Re insurance.
Expansion into cell, wafer and ingot manufacturing
Saatvik currently has around 8.8 GW of module manufacturing capacity, some of which is still under commissioning. It is also developing 6 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity, with the first 2.4 GW phase expected to begin production in the current quarter.
The second phase of cell manufacturing is scheduled for the middle of next year, around June or July 2027, according to Mathur.
The company is also planning 6 GW of ingot and wafer manufacturing capacity, which it expects to bring online in 2028.
Additionally, Saatvik is preparing to expand into battery energy storage systems (BESS). It plans to establish battery assembly operations for residential and smaller commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. The company also expects to enter the market for containerised battery storage systems for larger projects.
