Solex Energy Ltd. will unveil its TAPI RQ N-Type TOPCon quarter-cell solar module at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2026, being held from October 22 to 24 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The module offers a maximum power output of 670 Wp and conversion efficiency of up to 24.80 percent.
Designed for utility-scale and high-capacity solar installations, the TAPI RQ combines quarter-cell architecture with N-Type TOPCon technology. According to the company, the module is engineered to enhance energy generation, performance and long-term reliability. It is equipped with an IP68-rated junction box that protects against dust and water ingress.
Dr Chetan Shah, chairman and managing director of Solex Energy, said that innovation remained central to the company's growth strategy. He said that the launch reflected its focus on developing solar technologies that deliver higher efficiency, reliability and long-term value to customers.
Shah added that the company's strategy extended beyond manufacturing capacity to building an integrated, technology-driven solar ecosystem to strengthen India's domestic manufacturing capabilities and global competitiveness.
The unveiling marks the third consecutive year that Solex Energy has introduced a solar technology at the REI Expo. At the 2024 edition, the company introduced a solar module based on rectangular cells. In 2025, it unveiled the concept of its TAPI Rear Contact solar module.
Alongside its product development initiatives, Solex Energy is pursuing an expansion of its renewable energy manufacturing operations under its Vision 2030 roadmap. The company aims to establish 10 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity, 10 GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing capacity, and 2 GW of wafer and ingot manufacturing capacity. The proposed investment for this integrated manufacturing ecosystem is INR 14,300 crore.
As part of the expansion, Solex Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gujarat government for an investment of INR 4,000 crore to establish a 5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility and a 10 GWh BESS manufacturing facility. The solar cell plant is planned in two phases, comprising 2 GW and 3 GW of capacity, respectively.
The proposed investments are intended to strengthen backward integration, expand domestic manufacturing and develop a more integrated renewable energy supply chain. The company said that the roadmap aligns with the national objectives of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat.
Solex Energy is also looking to establish strategic partnerships with dealers and distributors across India and international markets, including the United States and Europe, to expand its distribution network and market reach.
