Insolation Energy Ltd. (INA Solar), through its subsidiary Insolation Green Energy, has signed a five-year strategic partnership agreement with US-based Caelux Corp. to commercialize 3 GW of solar modules integrating Caelux’s power-generating glass technology with INA Solar’s n-type TOPCon platform.
The companies plan to develop high-efficiency hybrid-tandem solar modules, targeting commercial production with module efficiencies of up to 29% by 2028.
Under the agreement, INA Solar and Caelux will collaborate on technology validation, manufacturing readiness and regulatory approvals, including compliance with India’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) requirements.
“By combining advanced perovskite technology with our TOPCon manufacturing capabilities, we aim to accelerate the development of high-efficiency solar modules and contribute to India’s renewable energy ambitions,” said Manish Gupta, chairman of Insolation Energy.
Vikas Jain, managing director of Insolation Energy, said the partnership would strengthen the company’s efforts to build an integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem.
Scott Graybeal, CEO of Caelux, said the agreement represents a step toward commercializing next-generation solar technology at scale in India. With the latest agreement, Caelux’s total contracted volume with module manufacturers worldwide exceeds 25 GW.
“Integrating Energy Producing Glass with TOPCon technology represents a significant step towards the Indian market benefiting from ultra-high power density solar modules,” said Vish Iyer, Caelux’s managing director for India and West Asia.
INA Solar operates three solar module manufacturing facilities in Jaipur, Rajasthan, with a combined annual production capacity of 5.5 GW. The company is also developing a 4.5 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing facility and an aluminum frame manufacturing plant with an annual capacity of 18,000 metric tons in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh.
Its product portfolio includes TOPCon and monocrystalline PERC modules rated from 500 W to 635 W. The company also provides engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services and has an independent power producer (IPP) portfolio of approximately 400 MW.
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Jaipur, Insolation Energy is listed on India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The company operates across more than 250 districts in India and reports more than 40,000 customers and a network of over 1,000 channel partners.
Caelux has also partnered with Indian solar manufacturer Grew Solar to develop 4 GW of perovskite-silicon tandem module production capacity. Under the five-year agreement announced in September 2026, Grew Solar will integrate Caelux’s perovskite-coated glass with its n-type TOPCon technology, including its large-format G12R module series.
The companies are targeting module efficiencies of at least 29%, with commercial production expected to begin in 2028. Caelux has also signed separate agreements with Rayzon Solar and Navitas Solar to develop a combined 10 GW of hybrid-tandem module capacity in India, with production similarly targeted for 2028.
