Nowogrodziec Municipality wants to learn residents’ views on the possibility of building wind power plants and photovoltaic farms. An online survey has been launched, and information meetings will be held on November 7 and 8 in five localities where the most applications concerning such investments were submitted.
Many applications have been submitted to Nowogrodziec Municipality concerning the inclusion in the general plan of areas intended for wind power plants and photovoltaic farms. According to the local authorities, most were submitted by external entities that do not own the indicated plots.
The office stresses that submitting applications alone does not yet mean that the investments have been approved or that their locations have been decided.
Mayor of Nowogrodziec Joanna Świder wants to learn the local community’s position before further decisions are made concerning the municipality’s spatial development. Therefore, the local authorities decided to conduct an additional survey of residents’ opinions, going beyond standard planning procedures.
The first stage is a survey in which residents can express their views on wind power plants and photovoltaic farms. Then, on November 7 and 8, 2026, information meetings are scheduled in five localities: Gierałtów, Wykroty, Czerna, Zebrzydowa and Parzyce.
These are the localities where the most applications concerning potential investments were submitted. During the meetings, residents will learn the details contained in the submitted documents.
Joanna Świder encourages residents to take part in the survey and share their views on the municipality’s future.
– I encourage the residents of our municipality to complete the survey and share their views on the future of our local space. Your voice is most important to me. This is our shared municipality. Nothing about you without you, dear residents! – the mayor says.
The survey is intended to help the local authorities learn residents’ expectations before making further decisions concerning spatial development.

The further course of any potential investments will be determined by subsequent stages of the planning procedures. The submitted applications are not equivalent to a building permit, and the results of the residents’ opinion survey are intended to provide the authorities with additional information before further decisions are made.
