FRESH plans have been revealed for solar panels at Haddington’s Wastewater Treatment Works.
Scottish Water submitted proposals for the site, to the east of the town, to East Lothian Council in March.
A decision is yet to be made on the plans and the national organisation has now submitted a second set of documents.
They note that “a need has arisen” to relocate “the essential cable trench”.
According to the original plans, 480 ground-mounted photovoltaic panels would be installed alongside two inverters.
A document included with the latest application stressed that it was just the location of the cable trench that was changing and “all other elements of the original proposal” remain the same as what was included in the application earlier this year.
The change comes about to “lessen the impact” of the underground cable trench on the trees on the northern boundary of the original application site.
