JAKARTA, Indonesia, Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — BCI, a subsidiary of Yingfa Ruineng, held a technology launch event in Jakarta to introduce its Indonesian manufacturing facility, production capabilities and technology roadmap. The facility has an annual capacity of 7.5 GW of N-type TOPCon solar cells and is Yingfa Ruineng’s first overseas manufacturing base. It is intended to serve as a regional supply hub for Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other international markets. The event also highlighted half-cell passivation, multi-cut cell designs and back-contact (BC) solar cells.

About 80 representatives attended, including Indonesian government-related institutions BKPM, EBTKE and IPAMP; industry associations AESI and APAMSI; and customers from Indonesia and neighboring markets. Zhang Min, President of Yingfa Ruineng, and Xu Zhenyu, General Manager of BCI, also attended.
Yingfa Ruineng said the facility supports Indonesia’s 100 GW solar power program and the country’s efforts to strengthen domestic manufacturing and local content (TKDN). The company operates four major manufacturing bases in Tianchang, Yibin, Mianyang and Indonesia, with combined effective capacity of 51.5 GW, including 45.5 GW of N-type TOPCon capacity. In 2025, overseas revenue accounted for 40% of total revenue, with products exported to more than 20 countries and regions.
BCI’s 7.5 GW cell capacity is positioned to support Indonesia’s growing solar market and domestic supply chain. For project developers, EPC contractors and module manufacturers, local cell production can offer shorter supply routes, closer technical coordination and greater flexibility in supply planning. BCI’s local capabilities are also intended to help Indonesian module manufacturers address applicable TKDN requirements, subject to relevant product certification and regulatory requirements.
Beyond individual orders, Yingfa Ruineng aims to build long-term partnerships with Indonesian industry participants through local supply, technical collaboration and manufacturing capability development. The company plans to strengthen its local workforce, develop supplier relationships and expand localized technical services. Through sustained investment and cooperation with local partners, it seeks to contribute to Indonesia’s domestic photovoltaic manufacturing ecosystem.
On technology, Yingfa Ruineng combines established cell technologies for manufacturing scale and supply reliability with continued development of next-generation solutions. Its processes include half-cell passivation and multi-cut cell designs to support production efficiency and cell performance. Its BC technology places electrical contacts on the rear side, leaving the front surface free of front-side electrical contacts and supporting high-efficiency designs. These characteristics may offer advantages for distributed rooftop systems, off-grid installations and microgrids across Indonesia’s many islands, although actual performance depends on product configuration, installation conditions and application requirements.
The company continues to advance its TOPCon and BC platforms. Its reported TOPCon cell efficiency of 27.3% and BC cell efficiency of 28% should be understood in the context of the specific cell designs and testing conditions. Yingfa Ruineng has also completed an initial end-to-end fabrication process for perovskite/BC tandem solar modules, marking further progress in next-generation PV R&D.
Through BCI, Yingfa Ruineng is extending its manufacturing capabilities, technical expertise and international market experience to Indonesia. The facility reinforces its international manufacturing network and provides a platform for closer engagement with regional customers and industry partners. Looking ahead, the company aims to deepen collaboration with Indonesian stakeholders in local supply, technology development, workforce training and manufacturing capacity, while aligning with applicable industrial policies, TKDN requirements and industrial park arrangements. It intends to work with government institutions, project developers, EPC contractors, module manufacturers and other industry participants to support the sustainable development of Indonesia’s photovoltaic industry and the country’s clean energy transition.
