Sahaj Solar Limited launched its dairy cold-chain solarization offering by commissioning a 150 L BM rooftop pilot in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, in July 2026 through its exclusive partnership with IDMC Limited. The system combines solar photovoltaic modules, a power conditioning unit and lithium-ion battery storage to support grid-independent, diesel-free dairy cooling.

Sahaj Solar's dairy cold-chain offering is a new solarization vertical created through an exclusive partnership with IDMC Limited. The presentation says the partnership is intended to solarize India's dairy cold-chain infrastructure, adding a dairy application to Sahaj Solar's photovoltaic module manufacturing, solar water-pump and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities.
The company identifies the initiative as one of three strategic growth drivers, alongside expansion in Indian states and African markets, including Uganda and Zambia, and deeper vertical integration. Sahaj Solar reported an order book of Rs 300 crore, capital expenditure of Rs 25 crore and a debt-to-equity ratio of 1.27 times, but did not disclose a separate order-book value, customer count or revenue target for the dairy offering.
Sahaj Solar commissioned a 150 L BM rooftop installation in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, in July 2026 as its live IDMC pilot. The presentation identifies the site as Ropapur Kakra Road, Faridpur, Bareilly, and says it was GPS-verified on site. The GPS map-camera record displayed in the presentation is dated July 4, 2026, at 11:05 AM GMT+05:30.
The rooftop system includes solar photovoltaic modules and direct-current cables, while the indoor equipment includes alternating-current cables, a power conditioning unit and lithium-ion battery storage. Sahaj Solar says group company Veracity Powertronics engineered the indoor power-conditioning, storage and cabling components for weatherproof, grid-independent operation.
The stated purpose is uninterrupted, diesel-free cooling for dairy cold-chain infrastructure. This is a different application from Sahaj Solar's solar water-pump business, for which the presentation reports more than 60,000 pumps executed, but it does not provide the Bareilly system's generation capacity, battery capacity, cooling load, operating hours or expected diesel savings.
Sahaj Solar is adding dairy cooling to a business spanning modules, structures, controllers, water pumps and EPC delivery. The company says it manufactures modules, structures and controllers in-house to improve supply reliability and project execution, while its solar-pump operations manufacture 70% of required raw materials in-house. The Bareilly rooftop-plus-storage system extends that equipment approach into dairy cooling.
Sahaj Solar's revenue rose from Rs 67 crore in FY22 to Rs 419 crore in FY26, an increase of more than six times over four financial years. Revenue reached Rs 158 crore in H1 FY27, although the presentation does not identify any revenue contribution from IDMC-related dairy work.
The annual revenue increase was Rs 89 crore between FY25 and FY26, compared with Rs 129 crore between FY24 and FY25. Sahaj Solar also reports 100 megawatts of annual capacity and 27 megawatts of projects signed with companies, industrial parks and independent power producers, but does not state whether the dairy vertical will use dedicated manufacturing capacity.

Sahaj Solar says Veracity Powertronics provides the power-conditioning, lithium-ion storage integration and cabling engineered for the indoor portion of the Bareilly pilot. Veracity Powertronics' low-tension switchgear panels hold Type Test Certification with stated validation for 6,300-ampere short-circuit withstand and 415-volt and 800-volt impulse resilience.
The presentation states that the panels comply with 61439-1 and 61439-2 requirements and have an IP-65 rating for dust and moisture protection. Sahaj Solar also says every panel powering one of its installations carries this certified pedigree. These specifications describe group-level electrical equipment support rather than operating results from the 150 L BM pilot.
Veracity Powertronics has also become a founding channel partner of Praneetha Ecocables through its Founders Circle programme. Sahaj Solar presents the relationship as part of a wider electrical and renewable-energy ecosystem and cites group-level manufacturing certification and end-of-life recycling capability, but discloses no financial terms, volume commitments or project pipeline for that association.
Readers should watch whether Sahaj Solar converts the July 2026 Bareilly pilot into repeatable dairy installations and discloses orders, system sizes, revenue or operating outcomes. The presentation provides evidence of one commissioned 150 L BM site and an exclusive IDMC partnership, rather than a disclosed portfolio of dairy customers or an announced rollout target.
Management's three-year guidance calls for revenue growth of 35% to 40% or more on a compound annual growth rate basis and an earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation margin above 12% within three years. Management identifies anti-soiling and nano-coating technology, government solar support including PM-KUSUM, and entry into international markets as key drivers, but does not assign any part of those targets to dairy cold-chain projects.
Sahaj Solar has opened a new application market through its IDMC partnership, supported by a commissioned rooftop, battery-storage and power-conditioning pilot in Bareilly. The initiative uses capabilities described across Sahaj Solar's modules, controllers, water pumps and group electrical systems, while the wider business generated Rs 419 crore of revenue in FY26.
The next evidence to watch is commercial scaling beyond the July 2026 pilot, including disclosed dairy orders and financial contribution. Management's stated three-year objectives of 35% to 40% or more revenue compound annual growth and an earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation margin above 12% are the broader targets against which expansion can be assessed.
