17 – 18 January, 2012, Mumbai, India
Wind energy is the largest source of renewable energy in India. Wind power in India has shown sharp growth, with the Government initiating a series of reforms over the last two years to increase the amount, and the efficiency, of private investment in the sector, including: introduction of generation-based incentives, Renewable purchase obligations and rationalised wind tariffs.
Meanwhile, developers continue to aggressively expand their capacity in the country. A number of private wind power producers are now expanding their portfolio in India and overseas.
This conference will specifically focus on the growth of IPPs in India and also see key discussions on the next growth market for wind energy – Offshore wind farms and Repowering old wind farms. The issues, challenges, potential and opportunities in these sectors will be the key focus of the event. The event will see a participation by India’s largest wind power investors and developers.
