Natural Group is proud to be associated with NSEFI as a founding member and part of the core group which will influence Solar Policy at the Central, State and Commercial levels within the Industry.

National Solar Energy Federation of India [NSEFI]  is an umbrella organization, consisting of Solar Manufacturers, Solar Developers both PV and Thermal, EPC Contractors, Financial Institutions, CDM and similar other similar instrument providers and other stake holders such as,  Power Exchanges, Solar Appliances manufacturers, Service Providers and leading consultants, MNRE Channel Partners, NGOs and  all  the stakeholders of  solar energy – which is holding out a large potential in the country.

The ultimate aim of the organization is to make  solar energy affordable for all and  to ensure widespread use and speedier growth  as well as  global competitiveness of solar industry in India and thereby serve the cause of global warming and climate change and nation building

ACTIVITIES TO BE UNDERTAKEN:

The Federation will undertake the following activities:

• Render advice and give suggestions to the policy makers in a constructive manner for a balanced and sustainable growth of the industry – on the lines of CII, FICCI and similar national industry associations – both at central and state levels.
• Arrange seminars, workshops, group discussions, exhibitions etc. on the subjects of mutual interest.
• Work in close cooperation and coordination with the Govt. of India as also State Governments  to achieve national goals for solar energy.
• Provide a forum for exchange of ideas and experience gained.
• Generate white papers and studies on various issues affecting the solar industry
• Arrange seminars, workshops, group discussions, exhibitions etc. on the subjects of mutual interest.
• Help the Government and other institutions in carrying out Research and Demonstration of new technologies and products in the field of solar energy.
• Interact with the central and state regulators for challenges effecting the solar industry
• Collaborate with similar International bodies and undertake activities of mutual interest.

ISSUES OF IMMEDIATE NATIONAL INTEREST:

Some of the issues of immediate national interest that the Federation plans to take up :

• RPO enforcement and it’s effectiveness
• Bankability of  RECs and making RECs Effective – Thorough overhaul of REC Mechanism
• Ensuring more funds available for solar energy from NCEF

And other sources – more speedily than at present

• Availability of finance at internationally competitive rates
• Promoting more and more Decentralised Solar Power and Micro and Mini Grids.
• Promoting indigenization in a sustainable manner
• Priority Sector Lending by Nationalised Banks and other Financial Institutions
• Availability of finance at internationally competitive rates
• Concentrated Solar Power to be made more understood and exploited than at present
