A RECORD number of solar panels were installed in homes across Limerick City and County last year.
That’s according to new SEAI data, showing 1,888 households across the county installing solar panels with Solar PV Scheme grants across 2025.
That represents a 65 per cent increase on figures from 2025. In total 1,922 SEAI grants were awarded for home solar in Limerick in all of 2025.
Limerick was a large adopter last year, with its 65 per cent increase towering far above the 16 per cent year-on-year increase recorded across the country on average.
