The Board of Directors of Pekat announced that Pentas RE Sdn. Bhd. (“Pentas RE”), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, had on 30 January 2026, entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) with an industrial energy off-taker (” Purchaser”) to supply electricity generated from the solar photovoltaic electric power generation systems to be developed by Pentas RE.
The Purchaser is incorporated in Malaysia as a private company limited by shares and is principally engaged in heavy industrial manufacturing and sale of industrial products, as well as the provision of transportation services. Due to the confidentiality clause in the PPA, the Company is unable to disclose the identity and further details of the Purchaser. The salient terms of the PPA are as follows: Pursuant to the PPA, Pentas RE will design, build, own, operate and transfer a self-consumption solar farm of 25 megawatt AC (“MWac”) capacity with a Battery Energy Storage System of 40 megawatt-hour (“MWh”) capacity to be located at the facility site within Mukim Ulu Kuantan, Daerah Kuantan, Negeri Pahang (“Facility Site”), to generate and supply solar photovoltaic energy and provide other ancillary facilities to the Purchaser (“Project”).
3.2 The commercial operation period under the PPA covers a period of 21 years (“Project Period”) commencing from the commercial operation date (“COD”), which is targeted in October 2026, and may subject to any extension of time for the completion of the Facility (as defined below) in accordance with terms set forth in the PPA. 3.3 The estimated project value of the PPA, based on the projected revenue to be generated over the Project Period, is approximately MYR239.0 million. Pentas RE will own the solar photovoltaic power generation systems (“Facility”) during the Project Period, while the specified assets, including the switchgears and meters, will be transferred to the Purchaser on COD.
