Oriana Power secures EPC contract for 234 MW floating solar plant in Jharkhand – pv magazine India

Oriana Power has secured an INR 1,180.53 crore contract for the supply of plant and equipment, EPC, and long-term operation and maintenance of a 234 MW grid-tied floating solar PV plant at the Maithon Dam Reservoir of Damodar Valley Corp.
The Maithon Dam is located at Maithon, 48 km from Dhanbad, in the state of Jharkhand India.

Oriana Power Ltd has received purchase orders from a renewable energy developer for the setting up of a 234 MW grid-tied floating solar PV plant in the Indian State of Jharkhand. The plant will come up at the Maithon Dam Reservoir of Damodar Valley Corp.
The scope of work design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the floating solar PV plant, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance.
The total price of the contract (comprising three individual contracts for the supply of plant and equipment, EPC services, and long-term operation and maintenance) is INR 1,180.53 crore.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.
