ARENA allocated $500 million to Round 1A: Solar PV Manufacturing Innovation. Round 1A focussed on modules, inputs to modules (e.g. solar glass and frames) as well as deployment systems (e.g. innovative solar racking).
The round was launched in August 2024 and operated under a two-stage process, with applicants who submitted a successful Expression of Interest invited to submit a Full Application. Funding Round 1A closed to EOIs on 10 December 2024.
