Egypt signs power purchase agreements for 5.6GW of new solar and wind – African Energy

Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has signed PPAs for 5.6GW of new on-grid solar and wind capacity, along with giga-scale battery energy storage system (Bess) capacity. Meanwhile, the Egypt-Saudi interconnector’s first phase is nearing operation.
