NTPC Green Energy commissions final 75 MW of Bhadla Solar PV Project in Rajasthan – PSU Connect

New Delhi, March 28, 2026: NTPC Green Energy Limited announced the commercial operation of the third and final 75 MW tranche of its Bhadla Solar PV Project in Phalodi, Rajasthan. This brings the total capacity of the 500 MW project to full commercial operation effective March 25, 2026, as certified by Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited.
 
With this commissioning, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited group rises to 9,802.68 MW, up from 9,727.68 MW prior to this addition. The project is operated by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited.
The Bhadla Solar PV Project is one of India’s largest solar energy projects and a significant contributor to the country’s renewable energy targets, supporting India’s transition toward clean power and sustainable growth.
The announcement has been made to the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
NTPC Green Energy Limited continues to strengthen its renewable energy portfolio while supporting India’s ambitious goal of achieving a greener and more sustainable power mix.
