Heelstone Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of Qualitas Energy, has commenced construction of two photovoltaic power plants in the United States with a combined capacity of 206 MW. The first project, Alligator Creek Solar, at 104 MW, is located in Wheeler County, Georgia; the second, Murch, at 102 MW, is in Van Buren County, Michigan. Both assets are backed by long-term corporate power purchase agreements (CPPAs) signed with a U.S. hyperscale data center developer whose identity was not disclosed in the announcement. Other industrial CPPAs in the utility-scale solar sector have recently been signed, including the 20.80 MWp of solar PPAs signed by LGE India to decarbonize its factories. Commercial operations at both facilities are expected by the end of 2026.
