Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has invested a total of Rs 24 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions Limited (SESL), to support a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh.
The company infused Rs 17 crore on April 17, 2026, followed by Rs 7 crore on April 18, 2026, as per regulatory disclosures. The funding will be used to establish a high-efficiency Solar DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) cell and Solar PV (Photovoltaic) module manufacturing plant at Pithampur.
The proposed facility will have a production capacity of 2.20 GW. This marks a strategic move by Shakti Pumps to expand beyond its existing focus on solar structures and rooftop installations. The investment aligns with increasing demand for domestically manufactured solar components.
SESL, incorporated in September 2010, has recorded steady growth in recent years. It reported a turnover of Rs 216.53 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 139.59 crore in FY24 and Rs 99.15 crore in FY23.
The company stated that the investment forms part of its broader plan to strengthen its presence across the renewable energy value chain. It also clarified that the transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction and did not require any governmental or regulatory approvals.
