Mozambique relaunches 30 MW Dondo solar IPP tender – Solarbytes

The Government of Mozambique, through MIREME and Energy Regulatory Authority (ARENE), have relaunched Request for Pre-Qualification for a 30 MW solar PV plant in Dondo, Sofala Province. The project will be developed by an Independent Power Producer under a competitive tender process. It is part of the PROLER programme launched in 2020 to expand generation capacity. PROLER targets around 120 MW across solar and wind projects. The programme is supported by the European Union and Agence Française de Développement. Expressions of interest are due by 22 June 2026. The proposal phase is expected to begin in the second half of 2026.
