Arizona solar + storage project comes online to benefit California utilities

The Sun Pond solar and storage project in Maricopa County, Arizona, is now online. The 111-MW solar and 340-MWh storage project was developed by Longroad Energy and constructed by McCarthy Building Companies.  Two California utilities, Ava Community Energy and San José Clean Energy (SJCE), have contracted for the output of Sun Pond via long-term PPAs.…
