(Alliance News) – Ecosuntek Spa has announced that its subsidiary Eco Trade Srl and Renco Spa are nearing completion of a 37.16 MW photovoltaic plant in the Port of Ravenna, integrated with a cold ironing system.
The facility, owned by the Adriasol Srl joint venture, is expected to generate approximately 53 GWh annually, enough to meet the energy needs of around 20,000 Italian households and offset more than 25,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions per year.
The energy will be primarily used to power cruise ships docked at Porto Corsini, the company explained in a statement.
The project will also benefit from a 20-year GSE incentive tariff and a non-repayable PNRR grant amounting to EUR7.6 million.
Commissioning is scheduled for the second half of 2026.
Ecosuntek shares closed Friday up 3.0% at EUR3.42.
