France based Carbon has announced the end of its photovoltaic project after more than four years of development efforts. The initiative aimed to establish an industrial player supporting Europe’s energy transition and manufacturing sovereignty. Carbon said it worked alongside teams, investors, partners and public stakeholders during the project period. According to the company, the decision reflects the lack of market conditions needed to support a viable European photovoltaic industry. Carbon stated that the required framework for a genuine European solar market had not materialized at this stage. The company thanked stakeholders and partners involved throughout the project journey.
