Germany-based IBC SOLAR, a full-service provider of solar energy solutions, was selected as a The smarter E AWARD 2026 finalist under Outstanding Projects. The finalist entry relates to its “First Agri-PV Farm with Solar Trackers – Solar Park Veringenstadt” project in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. The 15.5-hectare agri-PV system has 8.5 MW capacity and produces about 11 GWh annually, enough to supply more than 3,100 three-person households. The system has been connected to the grid since April 2025, following wpd GmbH’s commissioning of IBC SOLAR last year for planning, procurement, and construction. Its single-axis trackers are fitted with bifacial glass-glass modules, deliver about 1,300 kWh/kWp annually, and allow 60- to 90-degree module tilt. The project design preserves more than 85% of arable land through optimized spacing, adjusted axis heights, and wide sliding gates for agricultural machinery.
