Exagen Group, an energy firm based in the United Kingdom, has obtained planning permission for Buttercombe Solar Farm in North Devon. The capacity of the project is estimated at 15 MW. It was proposed in June 2025 and recommended for approval by the planning officer. The project was approved under delegated authority. Exagen indicated that the final design had been modified based on feedback during consultations. The scheme includes planting, landscape mitigation and biodiversity net gains of over 61%.
