TotalEnergies ENEOS, a Singapore-based onsite B2B solar distributed generation developer, has commissioned a nearly 28 MW rooftop PV system in Vietnam. The system is located at Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex in Ho Chi Minh City and is Vietnam’s first and largest rooftop PV PPA project under the Decree 57 DPPA framework. The installation comprises close to 45,000 PV modules and generates over 40,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually. The project uses a private-wire arrangement under a 20-year PPA for Samsung Electronics’ second largest global manufacturing site. TotalEnergies ENEOS financed, installed, and now operates and maintains the rooftop PV system. It covers approximately 26% of the site’s electricity consumption and avoids more than 500,000 tons of CO₂ emissions over the contract period. The project also supports Samsung Electronics’ RE100 commitments and improves efficiency through reduced heat gain from covered roof areas.
