ZIMMERMANN PV-Steel Group, a Germany-based manufacturer of solar tracker mounting systems, has announced progress on the 130 MW Caelum IV utility-scale solar project in Spain. The project is among the first to deploy the company’s Elongated 790 module holder for terrain-adaptive installations. The site includes significant elevation changes requiring specialized tracker engineering. A total of 3,023 trackers are being installed, including 1,557 tracker rows fitted with 2,492 cardan joints. Parts of the installation feature tracker inclinations exceeding 8° to follow the natural landscape. Wirtgen Invest Holding GmbH is the project owner and long-term investor, while WiNRG Iberia is managing project development, construction, and operation and maintenance. PV Consult LTD is supporting the project as ZIMMERMANN PV-Steel Group’s engineering partner. The Caelum IV project is scheduled for commissioning in Q4 2026.
