66 MWp solar PV plant in Guatemala successfully completes testing phase, starts operations (COD) – TradingView

Amsterdam / Oslo – 13 July 2026 – MPC Energy Solutions NV (“MPCES”, “Company”) today announced that its 66.1 MWp San Patricio solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Guatemala successfully completed the testing phase and has started delivering energy under the power purchase agreement to the IMSA Group.
“I am exceptionally proud of our team. We faced many obstacles along the way, but we managed to pull through”, said Stefan H.A. Meichsner, Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Company. “It is the largest project we have ever developed and constructed. Putting it into operations is a great achievement for us and will have a positive impact on the energy infrastructure of Guatemala.”
The start of operations of the plant also marks a significant milestone required to complete the sale of the asset, which is now expected to be concluded by the end of this month. MPCES and the buyer are working on finalizing the final documents and completing the remaining closing conditions.
