A solar farm is coming to the Fosterburg area of Alton. The Madison County Board voted 17-2 at its July meeting to approve a special use permit for the project. It will be located along Fosterburg Road and Harris Lane. That area is zoned for agricultural use.
Sam Walch with Arena Navigator One Solar LLC told county board members about concessions made.
Paperwork filed by the company says their anticipated “in-service” date for the solar panels will be October of this year.
