Serentica Renewables secures 58 MW round-the-clock renewable power PPA with DCM Shriram – pv magazine India

Serentica Renewables has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) to supply 58 MW of round-the-clock renewable power to DCM Shriram’s chemicals manufacturing plant in Bharuch, Gujarat. The agreement has been executed through its subsidiary, Serentica Renewables India 38, which will supply the contracted power through a 190 MW hybrid renewable energy project combining solar power from Rajasthan and wind power from Karnataka.
The project is expected to help avoid nearly 0.4 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, supporting DCM Shriram’s decarbonization goals while enabling a reliable supply of renewable energy for its operations.
Upon commissioning, DCM Shriram’s total renewable energy capacity will increase to 176 MW (peak) across its two sites in Bharuch and Kota, significantly expanding its clean energy portfolio. The project is expected to be commissioned by June 2027. As part of the agreement, DCM Shriram will invest up to INR 105 crore, in one or more tranches, to acquire a minimum 26% equity stake in the project being developed by Serentica Renewables India 38.
