HENDERSON CO., Ky. (WFIE) – Wind turbines are no longer on the horizon in Henderson County.
Several months ago, dozens of community members argued against a proposed solar farm in the eastern part of the county.

Cordelio, which has since been acquired by Pattern Energy, proposed installing around 90 turbines from Highway 136 East to Highway 60 East.
Residents came out in person to share their opinions, citing environmental, noise and property value concerns.
14 News spoke with Judge Executive Brad Schneider on Monday, and he said that the project is no longer happening.
As to why the project was axed, that’s still up in the air. It’s unclear if public outcry had anything to do with the decision.
We’ve reached out to Pattern Energy officials for comment and are still waiting to hear back.
